The wine route

Our hotel restaurant is close to the banks of the Rhône. Just a few minutes' drive away, you can reach Condrieu and its great AOC vineyards stretching over three neighbouring departments. Heading south, you'll pass through the small, ancient and renowned vineyard of Château-Grillet, and soon find yourself in the vast and famous vineyard of Saint-Joseph. This multi-award-winning AOC vineyard, generously spread out beneath the Château de Tournon sur Rhône, will be a must-see on your wine tour.

Halfway along the left bank, you'll find the predominantly red vineyards of Crozes-Hermitage in the Drôme, stretching as far as the confluence of the Rhône and Isère rivers.

Discover the region in a hot-air balloon

The north of the Ardèche is particularly well known for being the birthplace of the Montgolfier brothers, who invented the famous hot-air balloon in the 18th century. It's no surprise, then, that the region is home to a number of organisations offering hot-air balloon tours and escapades. There's no better way to explore this region, which alternates between plains and gentle hills, from above. Flights last at least an hour, and are subject to good weather conditions, of course!
